This question came up so I am posting the excerpt here in case anyone else wants to know. Q: A customer has upgraded all operations master olr holders in the domain to Windows Server 2008. All the DCs in the datacenter run Windows Server 2008 and they are now planning on deploying Windows Server 2008 R2 RODCs in the field. With forest preparation, we still must do adprep forestprep/domainprep (not rodcprep as we already did this). Do we have to upgrade any datacenter DCs to Windows Server 2008
